Dear Everyone,
The response to “The Prince” and “The Raven” has been overwhelming. Thank you.
I really appreciate your kind words about the books. I’m pleased to report I’m finishing the sequel to “The Raven” now and should know its release date soon.
Recently, a reader visited Florence and was kind enough to share some photographs with me. She has given me permission to share them with you, too, since they relate to my new Florentine Series.
When I was writing “The Raven,” I spent time in Florence researching the novel. I walked through the neighbourhoods and the alleys. I spent time looking up at the Duomo. I stood by the Arno River and watched it flow.
Here are two pictures of the alley Raven found herself in that fateful night:
I should mention that the graffiti is accidental to my choice of alley, but it’s certainly interesting.
I have a few more photos I’ll be sharing in the next couple of weeks.
I wanted to mention that Perling and Elizabeth, two readers, have started a “Gabriel’s Inferno” podcast. They are broadcasting live on Sunday evenings and are proceeding chapter by chapter. On Sunday, April 12th, they’ll be discussing Chapter 5 at 7PM ET. They welcome readers around the world to join them, either by posting on the chat section of their page, or by sending in questions.
You can find their podcast here and listen to previous episodes. Feel free to share the link with others. They’re hosting a giveaway of two autographed copes of “The Raven” and five signed bookmarks. (Autographed by yours truly; the giveaway is open internationally)
All the best and thank you for reading,
SR

It is a joy to wander the alleys of Florence with you. It is also a joy to read your words on your blog again. Between a book and the other we felt half orphans of your words, SR! Thank you for sharing your words, we appreciate each one with our minds and souls! A Blessed Holy Week, to you and yours! 🙂 Greetings from Brazil…

Thanks for sharing the photos and interesting graffiti. Is that the back of the Hotel Berchelli that faces the Orno by any chance? I love your new series and anxious for your exciting teases to be posted for the next episode. It took me longer to fall for the Prince…whereas in the Gabriel’s Inferno trilogy I fell in love with the Professor in the first chapter. I find the Prince and Gabriel have some things in common. Never stop writing, SR. :))

I really fell in love with the Gabriel trilogy, and I’m falling again for the mysterious William. I do so enjoy a good story, and yours are always well researched and satisfying to read. I love the twists and turns in this Gothic’Twilight’ for adults, so like the medieval streets the book is set in . I’m really looking forward to the next book !!

I am looking forward to the next novel. Everything you write is so intriguing and it is distressing when a story ends as I would like them to go on and on. Sometimes I stop reading for a while because I really don’t want the book to end.

Love the series. Waiting patiently for the next one.

Thank you so much for sharing with us such great news. Some time you should do a Little online Meeting with your worldwide fans so you can talk with us about your books. But this is only a suggestion as I know you are very careful to remain private and I certainly appreciate that. Now before I leave, I thank you deeply for all your wonderful creations, such hauntingly beautiful stories that change lives, I Just… Thank you! You should dedicate yourself the words from our beloved poet “And now your blessedness appears” (:
Lots of Love from Colombia.
Lady.

Thank you SR for taking me back to Florence. I only wish I’d had more time to explore the hidden nooks and crannies of that fascinating place. However, your novels have allowed that. Thank you again.
