Dear Everyone,
Welcome to Teaser Tuesday. We’ve entered the month of May, which means we’re that much closer to the release of the sequel. I’ll be posting a giveaway on the Goodreads site that you can enter to win a copy of the sequel.
Here’s the fifth teaser for the cover:
“The only thing I have of value is my heart. It’s yours.”
Thanks for your support and for telling your friends, family and Book Clubs about my writing. I truly appreciate it. If you’d like me to sign your ebook, you can request a Kindlegraph.
“Gabriel’s Inferno” was featured recently in a list of recommended Mother’s Day gifts for Book Worm Mothers. If you give a copy to your mother, would you let me know?
All the best and thanks for reading,
SR
PS. Amazon.com has both the ebook and the paperback of “Gabriel’s Inferno” on sale right now.

Oh my…. I cannot wait for this. I’m so excited!

Beautiful teaser, as always! We get a small glimpse of the other part of the title, but it’s still too soon to guess what it might be. Could it be an -l ? Very curious about finding out the full title.
I love the figure of the man. It calls to mind the man of the 1st cover and I really like this reference. This one seems more deep in thought than the other one. The posture of his hands and his head suggests that he could be praying or musing upon something. I really love it.
The quote is utterly beautiful. It makes me weak at the knees. Oh Professor! *happy sigh*
From the teasers you gave us, it’s safe to say that I’ll stare at this cover for a long time to come. Can’t wait to see the whole of it 🙂
Congratulations on everything.
Looking forward to the announcement of the release date. I’ve missed Gabriel and Julia so much!

Ok I don’t care about the pic but… Is that an “L” what words have “L”‘s near the end? I’m sure that must be the end. Now we are cooking with oil.
*starts crossing off all words without an L in them*

Wow. Another fabulous teaser! I’m itching to know the title:)
Thank you!
Racer says
That quote breaks my heart. *sigh*
What I see is a man in pain, filled with heartache, but why? Elena you see praying or musing. Perhaps I am being too pessimistic?
No matter, I am very excited for this month!!!!
SR, if my mom were still with us, I would have happily gifted her with your book immediately. She would have loved it I know.
pam says
What a lovely picture,he looks very deep in thought. Beautiful quote too. Very much looking forward to reading the next book.
As Racer said,if my mother were still with us i too would have gifted her GI,she would have fell in love with it just as i have. Maybe Sarah can purchase the next one for me… hint hint… 🙂
Best wishes SR. Miss Pam.

OK, if I remember correctly, there were going to be only 5 teasers. Since this is #5 does that mean the book will be released in a week or two? The anticipation is grueling, but I am enjoying Teaser Tuesday.
My latest guess for the book title (based on today’s pic) is Gabriel’s Arousal. SR if I am right, don’t let on please. Enjoying all the teasers and anticipation.

Oooo I love having teaser Tuesday’s back. 🙂 ‘l’ or ”t ? Hmmmm. No matter what the title is I can’t wait to dive in. The giving of his heart. The dragon wakes and stops holding and tearing at his heart giving it to his Julia to mend and fill. Sorrow, grief, prayer, musing. We know it all waits for them but so does redemption. I can’t wait SR! The May count down begins. I shall offer GI to my mother if she wants a glimpse into what has captured her girl’s hearts.
Excited!
Xoxo

Hello SR, Elena/Squally…and everyone else.
I doesn’t have to be an L , it could be “d” or “t”,I think..
The professor is Dante specialist and if we take in considerate that most of the literature of the late Middle Ages is conquered by the notion of the knight in the service of his lady.
Gabriel had found his lady who for him representes the ideal of what a woman should be. He must be absolutely devoted to her and spend his life in her service, his greatest reward to see her smile.
From what happened in the first novel , which I think it fits the model about a knight travelling through many dangers on a quest to keep his Lady, and Professor is overwhelmed by the splendour of a lady, he is ready to make any sacrifice to please her, isn’t he ?
So here are my guesses ..
Gabriel’s
Beloved Angel
Gabriel’s
Greatest Love
Gabriel’s
Splendour/Glorious Lady
Racer says
Ooooooh, I love those ideas Zoe!!!!!!

I’m still holding out hope for my particular title. Lovely picture with just the right amount of tease, SR. With my mother gone, I am the only designated mother in our particular family, but I have given the book to daughters and best friends…working on the next generation, I guess. And I’ll be giving the sequel to all of them also, so, doing my part!
Lady Fallow says
Good morning S♥R,
Once again, you leave us guessing and wanting…so Professor of you n’est-ce pas?
Here’s my take: It makes me think of ‘Le Penseur’ as in Rodin’s ‘The Thinker’… curious how it was first known as ‘The Poet’ for you dear Sir, are the embodiment of one through your story.
’The Thinker’, “representing Dante author of the ‘Divine Comedy’” was leaning forward to observe the circles of Hell, while meditating on his work. ‘The Thinker’ was initially both a being with a tortured body, almost a damned soul, and a free-thinking man, determined to transcend his suffering through poetry.
It never ceases to amaze me as to how full circle our dear protagonist Gabriel and you have come about encapsulating our heart through this journey.
Loving this cover so much more…and not so anxious for the big reveal any more. It’s more of a… comfort.
Best,
Jolie

May I be so forward as to recall his Anguish during…..an enforced separation? An angsty Peter song has found my ipod. Bloody good, it is.
I cannot wait for Part Two. Grazie!
meilleurcafe says
For the title, I’m betting on “Gabriel’s Argyle.”
Silliness aside, I like Jolie’s comments very much. I think “Gabriel” in the photo looks much more anguished than contemplative, but I also see a strong connection to “The Thinker.”
I’m looking forward to the sequel very much. I’m so anxious to read more of the story!

“Gabriel’s Argile” …lol ,it is awsome one Susan !
Hello Racer :)thank you.

Oh, I gasped at this teaser of the cover SR. Gabriel’s position on the cover can be taken several ways. Pleading, surrendering, needing, redemption, all true to form in the hours and days to come.
Cannot wait SR. Go ahead and put me down for two. Ebook for me, so my mother can borrow the real book. *claps hands and chants* It’s almost time !!
India Rose says
Hello SR,
Thank you for another teaser. You and the Professor certainly inspire us to think and consider all possibilities. I love both Zoe’s and Jolie’s interpretations.
I agree with Zoe that while I first assumed an L in the word following “Gabriel’s”, it could also be a B, D, H, K or T.
Gabriel’s Argyle would certanly fit. *laughs* Good one, Mango!
I think the title will be something we haven’t considered yet. If he was in an Inferno, where will he be in the sequel? Perhaps in Purgatory, redeeming his soul, sacrificing to save Julia, atoning for his sins. Of course none of those words really fit with this teaser.
Maybe there should be a contest for guessing the title of the sequel.
I love the continuity of the cover art with GI’s. It’s the same man, still praying, and the same couple, still embracing. And the flames have now become smoke.
The quote is so lovely, so sad. It breaks my heart knowing the anguish that will eventually come.
Thanks again, SR. Looking forward to the book release.
All the best,
Susan

I thought Zoe’s guesses on the title were awesome. That’s until I read Momma Dip’s “Gabriel’s Argyle.” Sorry Big Sis, but I gotta go with Argyle. 🙂
*high five for Momma Dip!”
Regina King says
Even though I suggested Arousal earlier today, I still like Gabriel’s Redemption better.
I also like India Rose’s suggestion of a contest to guess the title of the book.
Hopefully we don’t have to wait long to find out.

Thanks so much for mentioning my Mother’s Day Gift Ideas for Book Worms post on We Know Awesome! I’m super excited to read the sequel to Gabriel’s Inferno, and I’ll definitely share the release of the next book with all of my blog friends.
TongueTwied says
Oh, so the name is changing and we get to guess?
And..according to Squally the word ends in the letter “l” o.O *thinks aloud* betrayal, eternal, spiral, level, angel?
There is such a journey upcoming of happiness then confusion and distress then the ending, how can all of that possibly be summed up in one word? Keeping in line with Dante inspiration, I would say if the last was the ‘inferno’ then this should be the ‘paradise’ but I know that’s not entirely true of lies ahead for these characters. This is the ‘turmoil’ on the way. Wait are there going to be 3 books?
I could see Gabriel’s Salvation or Gabriel’s Absolution.
But based on how he looks in the picture I’m going to say “Gabriel’s Vigil” because he has to remain hopeful and ‘wait out’ a lot of things, doesn’t he? 😉 But even if Gabriel isn’t keeping vigil, I know the rest of us are in waiting for this book to come out!
kiTT 🙂

This teaser has brought to my mind a spanish proveb: “En el pecado lleva la penitencia”.
The expression of that face, his seclusion, has moved me deeply.
“The only thing I have of value is my heart. It’s yours.” The most beautiful declaration of love and devotion.
Expectant and again surrendered to the charm of his writing Mr.Reynard.
All the best. ANA
Thanks for share
Zoe says
I also could see the fourth one TT 🙂
Gabriel’s
Revelation of Love
..if you think the very end of the last canto of the Divine Comedy – that Love which impels each individual soul even as it “moves the sun in Heaven and all the stars.”

I am anxiously awaiting the title of the next book. If I had to guess… Julia, like Beatrice, guides him through Paradise after he has been in Hell, and in Purgatory. Perhaps that “L” letter is actually a lowercase “d,” offset from the first word, and the title is “Gabriel’s Paradise.” I hope so. Poor Professor deserves some Paradise!
“The mind is its own place, and in itself
Can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.” (Milton)
Brennyn says
My guess is Gabriel’s Paradise as well 🙂
dianamurdock says
I bought the Gabriel’s Inferno for myself for Mother’s Day (actually everyday is Mother’s Day for me), for the simple fact that I deserve it, and because my friend over at Bookish Temptations raved so much about this book that her passion spilled over to me. What’s a girl to do? 🙂
I. M. Mee says
As are many others, I, too, am eagerly awaiting the title of the sequel. (Truth be told, it’s because I just can’t wait to add it to my “to-read” shelf on Goodreads….)
And I have a confession to make: I haven’t read “Gabriel’s Inferno”. (*dodges flying objects hurled at my head*)
I was among your many, many readers when this story was a WIP online, and I knew that “GI” was only half the original story . . . so I’m waiting for the sequel and then will (re-)read them back-to-back! “Inferno” awaits patiently on my bookshelf for its conclusion.
Sus says
SR,
Will you be offering a signed bookplate for the paperback again? I hope so…
Excited to get the book!
