Dear Everyone,
This week, we are reading Chapter 4. Chapter 3 was quite short, but Chapter 4 is longer and begins with the proverb, “But it is good for me to hold me fast by God, to put my trust in the Lord God.” I’m going to take some time to reflect on this proverb and what follows this week and invite everyone to join me in doing the same.
This week, I discovered a link to the Spanish translation of “The Way of a Pilgrim,” which is “El camino del peregrine.” You can find the book here.
I continue to be blessed by your reflections on comments. Thanks to everyone who is reading along with me and thanks especially to those who post comments. I hope everyone is enjoying a blessed Lent.
Thanks for reading,
SR

Thank you, I already ordered mine and I will migrate from Kindle to paperback almost at the end. I think so, the story of the pilgrim is interesting. He wants to increase his faith, he is apparently unbreakable. But he keeps looking and those of us who read see in him one more step in the link

I enjoyed reading Chapter 4. I was touched by several parts of it. The explanation told by the Pilgrim about the Our Father prayer. From Maxim the Confessor, and Peter the Damascene’s in The Philokalia. Their views and explanation of the prayer and of prayer without ceasing were enlightening to me. I am embarrassed to admit that I never understood the Our Father prayer this well. I have said it countless times. It is a good thing. I hope others reading this learn from it also.
