Dear Everyone,
I’ve been asked about the translation of “Gabriel’s Redemption” into various languages. Although I don’t have a release date for the non-English versions of the novel, I can tell you the names of the publishers who will translating it.
Editora Arqueiro – Portuguese (Brasil)
Planeta Espana – Spanish (Worldwide)
Hayakawa – Japanese
Albatross Media A.S. – Czech
Muza – Polish
In addition to these international versions, Penguin UK will be releasing UK editions of “Gabriel’s Redemption” and Penguin Australia/NZ will be releasing Australian/Kiwi editions.
And I’m pleased to announce that there will be an Audiobook that you can preorder through Audible.com.
If your language isn’t listed, don’t despair. I’m hopeful other languages will be added shortly.
As I mentioned in a previous post, Berkley/Penguin will be including an excerpt from my next novel at the end of “Gabriel’s Redemption” in the American and Canadian editions. I am hopeful that international editions will include the excerpt as well, but that decision will be made by the respective publishers. I will keep you posted as information becomes available.
All the best and thank you for your continued support,
SR
Great news!
I’m looking forward to the release of Gabriel’s Redemption in any and all languages.
🙂
Jenn
Thanks for being so kind and keep us posted on this! I’ll be anxiously waiting for the spanish edition, can’t wait!
I think it’s so great that what started out as a little book turned into an *international* series. This is entirely too fabulous. 🙂
Is Gabriel’s Redemption due for release on the 3rd December in South Africa as well ?? I cannot wait for it.
Who is the gorgeous model on the Canadian Covers as our covers are totally different. We get the UK versions here
Hello Franca,
I believe Amazon UK has posted a release date of December 5. So if you’re purchasing the UK versions, I think that will be your release date.
I’m afraid I don’t know the name of the models on the North American covers. Sorry about that.
All best and thank you for your support, SR
Thanks for your reply, I have also subscribed to the Penquin South Africa newsletter, so hopefully they will keep us updated as well.
All the best from Sunny South Africa.
Hi, so i ask as well when we’ll be seeing a translation to Portuguese (Portugal). Thanks.
Ola, Dina. I’m afraid I don’t have any news. Saida de Emergencai is my publisher in Portuguese, and I haven’t heard of their plans for a translation of the third book. Sorry about this. I’ll post more news as it becomes available, SR
I’m sad because i was anxious for the third book to come out. I hope you’ll have news soon.
Thank you for your reply.
I’ve read the first two books, and seriously, I feel overwhelmed and just soooooo emotional. Best book EVER. I can’t wait to read Gabriel’s Redemption, and I know that its releasing this December, but I’m from India, and my question is that, is the book going to release in India too ? If yes, then when ?
I could get a stroke or something if I by chance got a reply from you, SR, but still, I’ll be waiting !
🙂
Namaste, Devian.
Please don’t have a stroke …
Did you buy the books thru Amazon.co.uk? If so, Gabriel’s Redemption can be preordered thru them now and it releases December 5. You can also order from The Book Depository website. They ship all around the world.
Hope this helps and thanks for reading.
Proud to have readers in India, SR
I am so-o-o-o frustrated to discover that I can’t purchase the audiobooks for Inferno or Rapture because their sale is restricted in my market (New Zealand). (quoting audible.com: “We are not authorized to sell this item to your geographic location.”) I loved reading (and re-reading) the books–and I know I’d love to hear them too. But (sigh), it seems the denizens of hellish market forces have conspired to thwart me!
Hello Julee. Sorry about this. Initially, Penguin Australia had the audio rights for Australia & NZ but they gave them back to the US. So Penguin US has the right to distribute audiobooks in your country. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Audible.com isn’t allowing it at the moment. Your best bet is to contact Penguin US direct and make them aware of it. I’ve spoken to them myself and am encouraging Aus/NZ readers as well.
all best, SR

Hello!
Hi nice blog
Dear SR,
it´s a first time I delved so deep in the history of your blog, but it´s definitely worth it. 🙂 I would like to let you know something I have on my mind quite a long time now, and that is how exceptional is the Czech version of your books. Honestly, it´s such a beautiful translation and done with such care! I read a lot and if possible, I usuallly try for the original, but the language resources in the translation of all of your books to Czech are so GOOD… and so fitting to the spirit of the story that I´m genuinely pleased to read it. And that´s something I recently cannot say for the most of the foreign books as usually it is the case that the translation doesn´t capture the spirit of the book. (I know that you´re friends with E.L.James, so I would just say that I hated the Czech translation of Grey and went for the original instead and that it is absolutely different book with different spirit in English.) As I´m quite curious, I recently purchased the English version of GI as well, mostly as a preparation for watching a movie version on Passionflix. But I know in advance, that both Czech translators will have my respect and recognition for their superb translation no matter what. They even added notes of the other translations used for Dante´s work and other sources – not something you could find in a romance on daily basis. And it is strangely fitting the whole story I think. 🙂
Sorry for any mistakes in my English as it is not my native language… and sorry for such a long entry but I think that such a good work as those ladies provided with the translation should be appraised in open.
Thank you for writing. It´s a pleasure to read your books.
Lenka
Thank you so much, Lenka.
The Czech translator is a friend of mine and a long time reader of my books.
So I knew that when she translated my books for Albatros Media, she would do a good job. She even translated some of the Czech subtitles for the films.
I’m very grateful to her and I”m glad to hear that you really enjoyed the translations.
Thank you so much, SR
Dear SR,
I´ve finished the first book in English and watched first three GI movies. And I´ve noticed that subtitles are in correspondence with the translation of the book so thank you for confirming my suspicion that there is some kind of connection between the two. 🙂
I love the original as well as the translation. I even read the original with the Czech version open next to it and time to time compare both. 😀 It´s much better than the dictionary. 🙂 Even though I admit it must seem quite weird; it perhaps looks more as if I´m studying rather than reading romance. But I can´t help myself, your books (and GI especially) hold a strange spell for me. It´s just a few months that I came across them but I´ve purchased and read them all since then. Repeatedly. 🙂 And I´m glad that GI is so well transformed into the movies… even if I have to say that Guilio is perhaps a lot more kind person than Gabriel as I´ve imagined him. But he captures Gabriel´s intensity well. I thought about that many times that it must be quite hard for Julianne to put up with such a constant attention and intensity and… yes, it´s gorgeous from time to time, but ALL the time? It requires a strong personality to stand up to this. I think.
Oh, and I love the snarky narrator. 🙂 Brightens my mood every time.
In short, I love perhaps everything about your books. Save maybe the fact there is not more of them. 🙂 Keep them coming, please.
And thank you.
Lenka
Thank you so much, Lenka.
I really appreciate the support. Very glad you enjoyed the films.
All the best and thanks for reading and watching,
SR
