Dear Everyone,
I hope you are having a Blessed Advent. Thank you for joining me for this read along.
This week, Henri Nouwen mentioned several different spiritual disciplines. He spoke of prayer, of compassion, of community, and of space. I have found that each reading challenges me and I find myself going back to the reading again at the end of the day.
I’ve also enjoyed the actions he has suggested for each day. Who knew that enjoying a special kind of pizza was a way of venerating Mary!
Last night, I was blessed to engage with the reading community for a watchalong of part 2 of “Gabriel’s Redemption.” Reading books and watching films is enjoyable as a solitary activity, but they are so much more enjoyable when they are shared with others. I’m grateful to Mango and to the Argyle Empire for suggesting the watchalong and I’m grateful for the readers from around the world who joined me. Thank you. Looking forward to the release of part 3 of “Gabriel’s Redemption” this Thursday, only on Passionflix. The official trailer was posted by Passionflix on their instagram, and I’ve posted it on my Instagram too.
Thank you for reading and thank you for watching,
SR

Third time is the charm I think, I’ve lost what I have typed two times lol…. These reading have been challenging & comforting at the same time. The readings & advent tasks shows us there is no wrong or right way to pray. Also when we have calm quiet moments we need to be aware of our surroundings to be able to not only receive but send out blessings & light out to others or just out into the world. I giggled when I read about the special Pizza & laughed later that same day when my mom told me she was hungry for Pizza. I too find myself going back & reread each day. Thank you for hosting The Advent read along.
Congratulations on the 3rd installment of Gabriel’s Redemption I’m looking forward to
Watching it, hoping mom will be up to watching too. The watch party was fun, I did go back & read the comments since I had to leave early. Looking forward to next weeks post.

It’s about sharing and finding grace in such small things. It is an act of mercy and it is an act of solidarity that pleases. Since in Advent we remember how Joseph and Mary sought hospitality from others and were denied. Then this beautiful miracle of sharing is reflected in a yes and they give him an inn in a manger in Bethlehem.

Thanks very much, Karen.
